Heia Studio is an architecture and design studio based in Vancouver, Canada. We work within the fields of architecture, interiors, products and design strategy.
Our work is characterized by thoughtful consideration of how a space will be experienced, expressed through a refinement of form, materials, and details.
We are Colin Clark, BFA, MArch, Architect AIBC and Jenna Hill, BFA, MDes.
Ethos
We design with intent. We design buildings and spaces that respond to the multiplicity of contexts within which they co-exist.
We believe that design, at its core, considers how places, spaces, and objects are lived and experienced, and that good design improves the quality of those experiences.

What we do
We view design and architecture as a practice, and we seek partnerships with creative individuals and companies that see the value of design.

We work closely with our clients, design partners, contractors, and builders to ensure that the design intent is carried out from start to finish.

We design buildings, spaces, furniture, lighting, products and bespoke objects.

We develop design concepts for retail, restaurants, and workplace experiences. This includes design strategy, creative direction, concept development and design guidelines for the built environment.
What does Heia mean?
Heia [hˈeɪə] is a multifaceted sound that captures the spirit and provenance of the studio. It happens to be the Norwegian word for "go!" (used as a cheer of encouragement) and resembles the Japanese word for room 部屋 (heya).
The studio uses this word as the phonetic representation of our design ethos: energetic and dynamic but also simple, practical, and enduring.
