Heia Studio designed a new flagship for Oak + Fort, a Canadian fashion and lifestyle brand. Nestled amidst the historic charm of Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, this avant-garde boutique has become a haven for fashion enthusiasts seeking refined and minimalist style. We incorporated subtle references to early modernism such as bent wood, chrome tubing, plaster, and natural stone.

Three large capsule forms help to define different areas of the long and narrow space. At the front of the space a large capsule-shaped display, parallel to the storefront hosts feature products or marketing activities. A second volume in wood provides on-floor storage and a backdrop for the natural stone service counter. A third form separates the fitting area from the shopping zone. A curving bent steel garment rail flows along the east side of the long linear space. Windows at the back of the store overlook the rail lines that run along Vancouver Harbor with views to the North Shore mountains creating a unique and ever-changing backdrop to the store interior.

Having previously been in-house designers for the brand between 2014 - 2016, this is the tenth location we have designed for Oak + Fort.
